Carrum Health–Cancer Support

With your Carrum Health benefit, eligible Peraton employees have access to expertise from two top cancer care organizations:

AccessHope. Delivers expertise from renowned National Cancer Institute (NCI)–Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report for more than three decades as one of the top two cancer hospitals in the nation.

If you or one of your eligible dependents is diagnosed with cancer of any kind, with your Carrum Health benefit, you’ll have access to a team of specialists who can provide expert medical opinions, work closely with your local oncologist to develop a personal care plan, and ensure you’ll feel supported from start to finish.

For qualifying members, the Carrum Health benefit also covers:

Access to navigational support from a team of oncology-certified nurses
An expert opinion of your cancer diagnosis and treatment plan from world-renowned specialists
Recommendations for local providers and specialists
Access to some of the largest clinical trial programs in the country

In addition to the remote expertise, eligible employees and dependents with first-time, non-metastatic breast or thyroid cancer may be eligible for additional care.

1. Carrum Health is available to employees and dependents enrolled in an AmeriBen (owned by Anthem BlueCross BlueShield) medical plan. To qualify for this benefit, you must first meet your AmeriBen plan deductible. Once you’ve met your AmeriBen deductible, all other costs will be covered by Peraton and you won’t need to worry about surprise bills. If you have to travel to get the best care, travel costs may be covered for you and a companion based on procedure and proximity to a Center of Excellence. Per IRS rules, a portion of any covered travel expenses may be reported as taxable income.
