Dependent Care FSA

Peraton provides the Dependent Care FSA to allow you to set aside tax-free dollars, up to IRS limits, to pay for eligible child or elder care expenses, so you and your spouse can work, look for work or attend school full time. Anyone with eligible dependents can enroll in this benefit, but you must actively enroll each year during Annual Enrollment to contribute.

Contributions

You can contribute up to the IRS limit, which is $5,000 per family per year combined in 2024, even if your spouse participates in an employer-sponsored Dependent Care FSA.

Estimate your contributions carefully. You have 75 days after the end of the plan year to use the money in your 2024 Dependent Care FSA. So, if you do not use all the funds in your 2024 Dependent Care FSA by March 15, 2025, the remaining balance will be forfeited.
