Virta is a comprehensive type 2 diabetes and prediabetes treatment program that helps you either reverse or better manage your type 2 diabetes and prediabetes, while also providing a safe and sustainable weight loss option. Virta is available to Peraton employees, spouses, and adult dependents between ages 18+ who are enrolled in an AmeriBen medical plan. Note: Some medical conditions exclude patients from the Virta treatment.

Virta programs that are available include:

• Type 2 Diabetes Reversal Program. Virta’s reversal treatment for type 2 diabetes safely eliminates or reduces diabetes medications and returns blood sugar to sub-diabetic levels, while helping with weight loss. Available to members with diagnosed type 2 diabetes (A1c of 6.5% or higher).
• Diabetes Management Program. Virta’s diabetes management monitors and controls blood sugar with supplies and on-demand coaching. Available to members with diagnosed type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
• Prediabetes Reversal Program. Virta’s reversal treatment for prediabetes returns blood sugar to sub-prediabetic levels and delivers clinically significant weight loss. Available to members with diagnosed prediabetes (A1c between 5.7% and 6.5%).
• Obesity Treatment Program. Virta offers patients a safe and sustainable way to lose weight, delivering clinically significant weight loss of 5–12%. Available to members with a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30.
